Here are several pictures of my latest assemblage: BLIND FAITH. I found the little rabbit game pieces in an antique store in downtown Ames. To me they looked as though they were standing in worship of something, hence the shrine to the "rabbit god." But like much of what I create, my message is more subversive than (in this case) reverent rabbits.
I'm off to Chicago this morning for a job-related conference. My hope is that I'll be able to carve out a little bit of free time to visit the Chicago Art Institute; I'm embarrassed to say it's probably been 20+ years since I've visited that spectacular venue. By the way, I just finished a new assemblage (tentatively titled BLIND FAITH) last night; I'm planning to take photos and post them early next week.
The (sometimes mad) ramblings of a mixed media artist.
